  • Ask supermarkets to do their bit
    However, here at CPRE we’ve got a resolution that we’d really like supermarket chief executives to make…to give more support to British farmers, local food producers and the countryside.

    We feel that supermarkets could do a lot more to help protect our landscapes and wildlife; pay British farmers a fair price; and stock more local foods – a crucial part of our rural economy.

    So even if you don’t make any New Year’s resolutions yourself, would you mind emailing the chief executives of the UK’s seven major supermarkets to ask them to make one which will benefit us all?
