See more from my earlier blog here – https://www.claire-wright.org/index.php/post/devon_mps_appear_complacent_over_renewable_energy_subsidy_cuts_to_industry
Actually, the International Monetary Fund states that fossil fuels add around £400 to the average annual fuel bill, whereas renewable energy adds only around £14.
And this article from November, tells how it really is. That government is INCREASING subsidies for fossil fuel producers, offering generous tax breaks, while virtually crippling the renewable industry.
See exactly how much this is happening here – http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/nov/12/uk-breaks-pledge-to-become-only-g7-country-increase-fossil-fuel-subsidies
And last week in Paris, didn’t we sign up to decreasing fossil fuels and limiting a global temperature rise to under two per cent?
The only conclusion I can come to is that many Conservatives are denying that climate change is even happening.
After all, the former environment secretary, Owen Paterson was openly sceptical about climate change.
I so wish for an early election.
