Residents of Alfington, Tipton St John and West Hill are expected to fill Ottery Football Club, to hear councillors debate where housing should be built, based on the results of a questionnaire-based consultation.
Survey forms from Alfington and Tipton St John are all now with Ottery Town Council and are being assessed by a statistician, with the deadline for West Hill’s questionnaires to be either returned to West Hill’s post office or Ottery Town Council, by Wednesday (31 October).
Councillors recognise the responsibility placed on their shoulders, and how sensitive and important the recommendations will be for residents.
All East Devon village housing site proposals must be submitted by town and parish councils to East Devon District Council, before the end of November. After which, the planning policy team will prepare the documentation for submission to the planning inspector.
There will be another formal six-week public consultation on East Devon District Council’s Local Plan next month, which contains development proposals for the district.
The Ottery St Mary Town Council meeting will start at 7pm on Thursday 15 November, at Ottery St Mary Football Club, off Butts Road.Any West Hill residents who haven’t yet completed a questionnaire can either download one HERE or pick up one from West Hill’s post office.
