• Ottery factory site bid for 100 dwellings up for debate

  • There were fears expressed at last night’s Ottery St Mary Town Council meeting, that the Redrow Homes appeal may make it harder for this site to be realised, due to cost of redeveloping it, compared with building on a greenfield site.

But now the application will be before Ottery St Mary town councillors next Monday evening.

A previous application for 98 dwellings and a Tesco store was rejected in 2010, due to the Tesco store not being in line with planning policy and the dwellings being of a poor design.

The meeting will be held in the canteen of The King’s School, starting from 7.30pm.
