• Just seven days left to respond to Local Plan consultation

    6th January 2013 | News | Claire
  • It is the FINAL consultation period, from which all comments will be submitted to the planning inspector.

It is proposed that the district would grow by around a third in about 15 years, if the Local Plan is approved as it is.  Many developers will be arguing for MORE development even than proposed, so it is important that residents respond to counter such claims.

I have carried out quite a bit of research over the past couple of years into the evidence and have also had the benefit of knowledge from some bright people and I will aim to post my response to the Local Plan tomorrow.  Needless to say the evidence does not back up the level of growth planned.

The plan goes before an independent planning inspector later this year – late summer or autumn.

The deadline is MIDDAY, Monday 14 January.
