  • Officers from the Environment Agency, Devon County Council highways department, South West Water and East Devon District Council, will be available for residents to talk to.

Peter Chamberlain, Devon County Council environment manager, said:

“These events are intended primarily to provide those directly affected by or at significant risk from flooding with an opportunity to share their experiences and information about what happened, so that this can inform the initial investigation process.

“Although some basic advice and guidance on dealing with flooding events will be available and, as far as possible, questions answered, these early sessions are not intended to provide any detailed insight into the precise cause of the flooding or potential measures to reduce future flood risk.

“They will operate as multi-agency events, supported by the most relevant risk management organisations in each case, including the Environment Agency, Devon County Council (i.e. either as Lead Local Flood Authority or as Highway Authority), East Devon District Council and South West Water.”

The event will be held at Feniton village hall from 3pm to 7pm, on Monday 3 December.
