Not mincing his words, Cllr Diviani, says it is “disingenuous” to suggest such a thing.
At last week’s Ottery Town Council meeting, Cllr Ian Holmes referred to a meeting last July (which was attended by him, Cllr Glyn Dobson, Cllr John Harding, Cllr David Cox, EDDC chief executive and Cllr Diviani) where he said it was suggested that any involvement in a project by independent councillors me and Roger Giles, would mean the “death knell” for it, in terms of EDDC support.
Cllr Roger Giles, the Ottery EDDC member, does not appear to have been invited to the meeting.
Cllr Diviani says he is proud of the support that the council has provided to Ottery St Mary over the years.
So will Cllrs Holmes now retract his statement?
