• EDDC cabinet votes unanimously to move out of Knowle

  • Good for Cllr Peter Halse for voicing his honest opinions. There is no support for the move, he has found from talking to people around the district.

Risky expensive capital project is about right… and at a time of financial uncertainty.

A further whopping £95,000 will be spent on looking to move.

Last December, Cllr Diviani confirmed that £350,000 had so far, been spent on looking to move.

Yesterday morning, I heard EDDC leader, Cllr Paul Diviani interviewed on BBC Radio Devon about the possibility of EDDC moving to either Honiton or Cranbrook.

No decisions have been made, he told Matt Woodley, immediately going on to talk as if decisions had been made.

A district wide stakeholder group meeting will take place on 26 July, which is rather odd timing – after last night’s decision.
