• Another major planning application on its way to West Hill

  • Bloor Homes are to hold a public exhibition in the village to showcase their plans.

As yet there is no date for the public exhibition nor is there any indication of which piece of land Bloor Homes has an interest in.

I will blog when more news comes to light.

It will be the fourth major application in the village since 2010.  So far, all have been rejected as they are contrary to East Devon District Council’s adopted Local Plan.

However, as part of the draft new Local Plan, this autumn residents in villages with built-up area boundaries across East Devon, will be asked to help select a piece of land for housing.  Built-up area boundaries will be re-drawn around the new allocated land.

West Hill has been proposed an allocation of 35 dwellings until 2026.  It is proposed that East Devon villages are to grow by five percent based on the number of dwellings within their built-up area boundaries.
