What can happen when people meddle with watercourses

The watercourse under Straitgate Farm flows to three streams, and supplies 100 people with fresh drinking water.

Aggregate Industries wants to create an 80 acre quarry on this farmland and there are many concerns, including one relating to the dangers of disturbing 100 people’s springwater supplies.

Campaigners: EDDC office move “extravagant”

Campaign group, the East Devon Alliance, has issued the press release below. The initiative seems to have become an obsession with some EDDC people, who need to take a big step back and really look at what they are trying to do. Which is spend a large amount of taxpayers’ money - through selling assets and borrowing money - all to finance what I (and many others) believe to be an unnecessary initiative.

High speed rail link is a white elephant
