Wait for evidence over quarry, insist councillors

Three councillors who spoke at today’s Devon County Council Development Management Committee meeting, seemed keen to retain the current proposals for Straitgate Farm to be included in the minerals plan - which would entail opening a 100 acre quarry and possibly causing devastating environmental harm.

15 houses at Tipton in AONB recommended for approval

East Devon District Council planners have recommended that 15 houses (two thirds affordable) are approved at the next Development Management Committee meeting, on Tuesday 12 June.
